HENLEY FORT OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTRE
Henley Fort sits atop The Mount in Guildford and boasts stunning panoramic views across the sprawling Surrey countryside. From the centre, we also venture out to make use of local settings on the River Wey, thus offering a wider variety of outdoor experiences. The fort has a rich history and was originally built in the 1880s as one of the London Defence Positions to defend the capital against invasion by the French.
Later, it was used during the Second World War as head quarters for the Surrey Home Guard. Today, Henley Fort is a unique space for learning and self-discovery in the natural environment. Certification: Surrey County Council, GNAS, BOF, BCU, SMBLA.
