Lunch Club Youth Workers

The Eikon Charity based at Fullbrook School, New Haw are looking for Lunch Club Youth Workers to help at the lunch club.  As part of the lunch club team you would lead sessions having developed short activities in advance of the session.

Key areas of responsibility for role are:

•Engage young people voluntarily and positively; motivate, inspire and encourage potential

•Listen and support young people, showing empathy and understanding, remaining non-judgmental and caring

•Role model confidence, honesty, integrity, commitment and sensitivity to young people

•Ensure that all youth work is delivered in accordance with the youth work curriculum and all relevant policies and guidelines

Youth workers are needed to help run courses on a variety of days, at lunch time, during term time.

This post is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.

Bus Driver

We are looking for volunteers to join the team at youth clubs across Surrey, including Weybridge, Walton, Bagshot, Camberley and Deepcut.

We have an exciting new project – a mobile Youth Centre.  This involves creating and running a Youth Centre in a bus!   To achieve our aim we are actively recruiting a team of volunteers to help run its daily activities including:

Bus Drivers – Do you have experience of driving a bus or large vehicle? You will be responsible to collect the bus, drive it to its location, and then return it.  Reliable and friendly, experience of driving a bus is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. Time commitment: 2-3 hours per week.

You will need to complete a criminal records check (DBS) and provide two references.

Bus Manager

We are looking for volunteers to join the team at youth clubs across Surrey, including Weybridge, Walton, Bagshot, Camberley and Deepcut. We have a mobile Youth Centre - a Youth Centre in a bus! The bus will travel around Surrey Heath supporting our youth work activities.

We urgently need a volunteer to manage and look after the bus. This will include making sure that regular checks are completed and communicating when and where the bus is needed. Reliable and friendly, experience of driving a bus is desirable but not essential. Time commitment: 2-3 hours per week.

You will be required to complete a criminal records check (DBS) and provide two references.

Eikon Ambassador

Eikon is a Surrey based charity that has been working in the local community for almost two decades, providing long-term support to some of the county's most vulnerable young people and their families

Become an Eikon Ambassador in and around Surrey, wherever suits the individual.  You would be supporting the fundraising team in growing the charity's awareness in the local area.

Description of tasks:

·        inspiring family, friends, colleagues and your networks to support the charity

·        attending cheque presentations in your local area and thanking our donors face-to-face

·        giving short talks on the charity to a variety of community groups (experience of public speaking is required) and providing feedback

·        setting up a fundraising group with friends, family or colleagues

·        getting people involved in our latest fundraising activities and events

Skills and qualifications required include:

·        excellent telephone manner and people skills

·        ability to use a computer, Microsoft programmes and comfortable sending emails

·        outgoing, friendly and proactive character

·        be comfortable working with a group or by yourself

·        good communication skills

·        be able to use own initiative but able to ask for help when you need it

Training and support will be given.  Out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed, you will need to discuss with line manager before spending.

This role will give you the opportunity to develop new and existing skills and gain experience volunteering in a charity.  Develop fundraising experience.  Opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.  Opportunity to help support vulnerable young people in Surrey.

Fundraising Volunteer 

We are looking for volunteers to join the team at youth clubs across Surrey, including Weybridge, Walton, Bagshot, Camberley and Deepcut.

We are looking for people to fill various fundraising roles.  These include creative fundraising developing initiatives, relational fundraising - a point of contact for fundraisers, marketing & communications the charity's profile, and event support

Various roles to be filled regarding fundraising:-
1. Creative Fundraising Support - to assist Fundraising Manager  develop initiatives & tool kits.      
2.  Relational Fundraising Support - be point of contact for fundraisers, answering questions & supporting.   
3. Marketing and Communications Support - helping to develop a marketing plan & raise Charity's profile.   
 4. Fundraising Event Support - help on an ad-hoc basis at events in aid of Eikon during the year.

Eikon is based on the site of Fullbrook School, New Haw.

Sports Coach

We are looking for volunteers to join the team at youth clubs across Surrey, including Weybridge, Walton, Bagshot, Camberley and Deepcut.

LOVE SPORT?  Want to pass on your knowledge and enthusiasm to young people, aged 11-18? Get involved!  We are looking for volunteers to provide various doorstep sports sessions across Surrey Heath.  Experience of teaching group sport is desirable but training will be provided to the right candidates. Time commitment: 2 hours per week.

You will need to complete a criminal records check (DBS) and provide two references.

Youth Club Assistant

We are looking for volunteers to join the team at youth clubs across Surrey, including Weybridge, Walton, Bagshot, Camberley and Deepcut.

Key areas of responsibility for role are:

·        Listen and support young people, showing empathy and understanding, remaining non-judgmental and caring

·        Role model confidence, honesty, integrity, commitment and sensitivity to young people

·        Ensure that all youth work is delivered in accordance with the youth work curriculum and all relevant policies and guidelines

Training provided. Time commitment 3 hours per week evening sessions. This post is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
