The role

To develop and deliver people management practices which support YMCA East Surrey overall strategic aims and objectives and meet employment legislation and best practice The job holder will be expected to identify HR priorities and recommend appropriate solutions which support business aims, in addition to providing a staff-focused HR service. The jobholder will provide expert professional advice and support to managers and staff on all aspects of people management, which fully reflects YMCA East Surrey’s desire to be an employer of choice. Working with over 300 staff and workers, the jobholder will help direct the training budget, the recruitment budget and will be expected to provide guidance and support to all staff on the full range of HR activities.

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week. Core office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with an hour for lunch

Location: Redhill, Surrey

Salary: £36,000 – £39,500 p.a. depending on qualifications and experience

Annual leave: Five weeks (pro-rata) plus bank holidays. Holidays increase after two years’ service to a maximum of six weeks pro-rata after six years’ service. The holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year

Benefits: The post holder will be entitled to free use of the YMCA East Surrey fitness centre in Redhill and half price YMCA childcare for dependents. There is free parking available at the Sports and Community Centre. YMCA East Surrey also operates a Cycle to Work Scheme
