Youth & Community Work

Challenge Network Programme

Apply now for paid youth work this summer!

The Challenge is a youth and community programme that inspires and connects young people across Britain to strengthen their communities. The Challenge programme runs in Epsom, Reigate, Godalming, Staines and Woking as well as throughout London, the Midlands and Northwest England. It brings together young people from different backgrounds, builds their confidence, and challenges them to make a difference in their local community.

The Challenge is looking for inspiring individuals to join our staff team as paid leaders, mentors, logistics and skills experts. You will receive excellent training and gain leadership and mentoring skills which will help in any future role working with young people. One mentor who worked last year said, “It was an absolutely mad, exhausting, manic, deliriously fun few weeks that ranks as the best job I’ve ever had.”

The first-round deadline for applications is 1st February 2013

The online application process is open now and applications received by 1st February 2013 will be given a wider choice of assessment and work dates. Simply choose the role(s) you would be best suited to, answer a few questions and upload your CV. As part of your application, upload an optional short video to show why you'd like to work for The Challenge. It's easy to do using your computer or smartphone.

Whatever your level of experience with young people, if you are passionate about making a difference to young people's lives, there's a role for you with The Challenge!
