Youth Enterprise Workshops - 5th & 26th June 2014

Aged 16-24, thinking about starting a business and don’t know where to start?

Surrey Youth Focus are providing a series of free two day workshops, tailored specifically to you, to provide you with the business knowledge you’ll need to succeed.

 Starting up

  • What sort of business might I start?
  • What plans do I need to make?
  • Thinking about the money
  • Budgeting and expenses
  • Practical day-to-day issues
  • Where do I find help?

This session is practical and hands on, providing you with vital information on starting a business. You’ll hear from a young entrepreneur who will share his experiences with you and be introduced to an experienced business adviser and expert on social enterprises, who has helped launch countless successful businesses. You can also book onto a follow-up one-to-one mentoring session.

Marketing and social media

Delivered by social media experts, currently working with young business people, you’ll learn all about how to use social media platforms such as twitter, facebook, tumblr and animoto to promote your business.

The two workshops are free of charge to attend, and you can attend one or both, depending on your needs.

5th June (Social Media and Marketing) - Woking Adult Learning Centre

26th June (Starting Up) - Astolat, Coniers Way, Guildford

All workshops run from 9.30am to 4.00pm. Lunch is provided.
