In this Coffee and Chat we considered what it means to be care experienced in Surrey…

…we started the session by playing a Tedx video by Hannah Kirkbride (CEO Career Matters) to help us walk in the shoes of a young person and their first night in care; we explored the role different organisations play within ‘care experienced’ to support children and young people; to help our understanding of what more we can do, we explored using language that cares and creating inclusive environments.

Delivered with the support of Career Matters, Virtual Schools, Surrey Heartlands, Corporate Parent, Surrey Youth Voice and SOLD (Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development).
